Anise
Anise has been used for many years as an addition to traditional medicine for it’s antibacterial, antifungal, stimulant and expectorant properties. Anise can be helpful in shifting a stubborn cough. Anise is also great for increasing libido, increasing the production of breast milk due to the phytoestrogenic properties, also a lovely fragrance (Just add a carrier oil and use this as a homemade perfume).
Anise is your all rounder as far as essential oils are concerned. Anise can be used in small doses for a calming affect. Not to be confused with Star Anise, Anise has it’s own very individual and amazing properties.
